Bio:
I am Mrs. Perkovich and I have the honor of being your Art Teacher. I came to NIU in 1970 to work on my B.F.A. completed in 1977. I married Steve (1976). We had Claire (1982), Joe (1985), and adopted Ellie (2007). Ellie has two children, NyEllie, 6, and Nevaeh, 3. After earning my M.S. Ed. (1996) I taught 5th grade, all subjects, for the next twenty years. Post-retirement (2016-2018), I continued my love of teaching and being an artist by working part-time as an art teacher in DeKalb. I am thrilled to be back teaching art. Creston Elementary is a very special place and I am lucky to be part of a great group of students and staff.
