CRESTON SPEECH TEAM 2009

 

Being a member of a team requires responsibility and commitment. Creston has in the past done very well at the RTHS Annual Speech Contest.

Public speaking is an important life skill. We hope your participation on the speech team is both rewarding and fun for you.

 

Please read the following rules and sign that you understand and will abide by them. Your parent also has to sign.

 

 

I.                   Team members must attend practices scheduled for your event.  (Excused absences have to be made-up. An unexcused absence will result in your being dropped from the team.)

 

II.                Students must be academically eligible to be on the Speech Team.       

 

III.              You will be available to perform your selection(s) at the request of any of the coaches in front of other team members.

 

IV.            You will be available to listen to other team members to show support and provide feedback.

 

V.               FINAL PRACTICE on Monday, March 16th. All team members will perform their selection(s) before a speech coach and fellow team members or will not participate on contest day (March 17).

 

VI.            A copy of your selection must be given to one of the speech coaches by or on the first practice on Monday, February 23rd.

 

I have read the speech team rules and agree to abide by them. I understand if I do not abide by the rules, I will be off the speech team.
