Books are designated as AR testing books by having red tape on them. Each book is assigned a reading level by Renaissance learning. We use labels to mark the books so that students can easily find books within their reading level.

Younger students often come down to the library with a card that has their reading levels on it. For example, if a child is at a 1 reading level, his card would have the numbers: 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9 on it.

This helps children to pick books that are appropriate for them.

Please note: Students are only permitted to check out 3 AR books at one time. Any time a student has overdue books from the library, he/she is not permitted to check out any more books.
