Accelerated Reader Program
The Accelerated Reader program at Creston School has been an
integral part of the reading curriculum since 1995. Accelerated
Reader is a wonderful program that helps focus attention on
careful reading of books, which improves students’ critical-thinking
skills and builds an intrinsic love of reading. Using AR, Creston
teachers continuously guide students to appropriate books and
curriculum within their zone of proximal development (ZPD).
This helps to ensure that every student is challenged without
being frustrated.
