News from 8th Grade

In history we started the year with some geography review before moving on to examine the Age of Exploration. Currently we are beginning the study of the U.S. Constitution so the 8th graders can take their test prepatory to entering high school. With this being an historic election year, it made sense to study the Constitution now.  Both 7th and 8th grade have begun the use of our new English curriculum. They have learned about the different types of nouns and verbs showing mental and visible action. Our emphasis in Reading is on short stories with understanding literary terms such as setting, plot, theme, and character.
