Third Grade News

Second quarter is quickly coming to an end!  Where did all the time go?  The third graders have been very busy reading novels and A.R. books.

In November we learned about Native American Indians and the first Thanksgiving.  We enjoyed reading Molly’s Pilgrim by Barbara Cohen, a story about a girl named Molly and her family that moved to America from Russia.  Molly and her classmates learn the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

The third graders are excited about writing totally in cursive when they return from Christmas vacation.  They are also working very hard at memorizing all of their multiplication facts!

The students are vigorously reading to make their second quarter A.R. goals.  They don’t want to miss out on being invited to attend the roller skating party!

Keep reading over Christmas Break!
