“Cranberries and stuffing.  Fill up my plate.  Oh what a feast for me.”  We have been learning several new fall poems in first grade, including “Oh What a Feast.”  We are getting pretty good at reading our poetry journals!  We are also working hard toward reaching our second quarter AR goals.  We look forward to learning about the first Thanksgiving.  We will even dress as Pilgrims and Native Americans as we enjoy our festive feast.

Our stockings will soon be hung in first grade….ready for Santa’s arrival!  Along with writing individual letters to Santa Claus, we look forward to other holiday activities. . including; sending reindeer cards to our Kings pen pals, sharing a little holiday cheer with our sixth grade reading buddies, making holiday gifts for our families, and “wrapping up” our bat unit.
