LEAVING SCHOOL GROUNDS
Upon arrival on the school grounds, students are not permitted to leave the grounds until the final school bell at 3:00 P.M. Those students taking the bus must board the bus immediately after release from their classrooms. Bus students must have a written permission note or phone call to the school office from a parent/guardian if they are not to take the bus home at the end of the day. Students eating lunch at school are not to leave school grounds at any time during the lunch recess.

On October 22, 1986, President Reagan signed into the law
the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Act (AHERA), which enacted rules that require all
Local Education Agencies (LEAS)
The inspection and management plan at CCCSD #161 was accomplished by May 9, 1989. Accredited inspectors inspected all district-owned buildings for the presence of asbestos-containing materials, assessed the condition of the materials, estimated the quantities, and documented this information in a written report which showed the locations of the material, where bulk samples were taken, and showed the location of drawings.
A management planner developed a written management plan
which explained how the school district removed the asbestos. Copies of all
Inspection Reports and Management Plans for all buildings are located at the
District Administration Office,
PARKING, DROPPING OFF, AND PICKING UP STUDENTS
Drivers parking, dropping off, or picking up students are requested to observe the following directions:

3. While visiting the school, please park in the parking lot on the west side of the school and enter through the south double doors. You must ring the bell for entrance into the building. All visitors must stop at the school office.
