BEHAVIORAL GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS WITH
DISABILITIES
The Board shall maintain a parent-teacher advisory committee to develop with the Board policy guidelines on student discipline. The advisory committee shall also develop, in conformance with guidelines of the State Board of Education, policies and procedures on the use of behavioral interventions with students with disabilities. In addition, the advisory committee, in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies, shall develop with the Board policy guidelines and procedures to establish and maintain a reciprocal reporting system between District #161 and the local law enforcement agencies regarding criminal offenses committed by students.
CORPORAL PUNISHMENT
Corporal punishment is not legal in the State of

No pupil in the district is excluded from or segregated within any school on account of his or her color, race, nationality, sex, religion, or religious affiliation.
DISTRIBUTION OF PRINTED MATERIAL
All printed materials, including leaflets, information,
posters, etc., to be distributed by parents, students, or others on the
property or premises of
EARLY DISMISSAL
No student will be dismissed prior to the final bell without a written or personal request from a parent/guardian. Parents/Guardians must provide a written note requesting the exact time and method of transportation of the early dismissal. The note can be given to your child to bring to school that day. The note should be dated and signed by the parent/guardian.
The THIRD THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH will be a scheduled 2:00 P.M. dismissal for teacher in-service and school improvement work. The regular bus route will be run at 2:00 P.M.
