A Note from Ms. Butler

If you walk UP the staircase that you’re not supposed to and then turn to the right, you will be at the door to my room.  I’m Miss Butler, and I am very excited about teaching at Creston School.  This is my first year teaching, but some people may remember me from when I was a substitute teacher last year.

I have lived my entire life in Rochelle where I live with my parents and my younger brother.  After I graduated high school, I went to Kishwaukee College.  After that, I went to Northern Illinois University.  I graduated from college in 2008.

I have had a lot of different jobs since I was in high school, but one of my favorites was when I worked at the Flagg-Rochelle Public Library.  I loved that job because I was surrounded by a lot of books, and I always got to see what everyone else was checking out.  Also, I loved that there was always a new book for me to read.  So, you might have guessed that I love to read, and I do!!  I like to read all kinds of books, so if you read something that you think I might enjoy, please let me know.

Besides reading, I also really like math.  Outside of school, I still love to learn.  I am always asking a lot of questions about things I don’t understand.  I spend my free time reading (of course).  Sometimes, I like to cook but only because I really like to eat.  I also like to put together puzzles, watch movies, and listen to music.  And because I know that you are really wondering… I cheer on the Packers during football season, the Cubs during baseball season, and the Hubs and Colts during every season!
