Hi! My name is Mrs. Rueff, and I am the 7th Grade Teacher. I have been teaching for 15 years, 13 of which have been at Creston School. Some of my favorite subjects to teach are math and health. I have the opportunity to work with both the seventh and eighth grade classes each year. It is quite a transition year for the seventh graders, as 7th grade is very challenging and demanding. However, by the time the students move to 8th grade, Mrs. Connolly and I find that they are very used to our routines, and the transition is smooth. It is a great way to get the students ready for RTHS...Rochelle Township High School! On a personal note, I am married and have two sons. Each of my sons is married, and between them, I have five wonderful grandchildren. I love to spend time with my family and friends. Walking is one of my favorite past-times, along with reading and playing Scrabble! Although 7th grade is a hard transition year, we also have
a lot of fun! Seventh Grade is the first time that students
are invited to participate in the Meridian Conference dances
throughout the year. The students have a great time at these
dances. Our class manages the Bank at School program,
and we get the opportunity to take a bank tour as a field trip.
We also take field trips to Robert Crown & Cantigny with
the 5th graders in the fall. Sometimes, we take a field trip
with the 8th graders in the spring. As I work with my students throughout the year, My mission is to interact with each student so that they know: that I care about them and their success in my classroom; that they can accept that it's OK to make mistakes; that they have the power of choice in their lives; and how important attitude and a sense of humor are in life. |
